Tweetup Networking event #TCampEU

We invite all developers and diplomats, EU civil servants and activists, journalists and other open data enthusiasts to join us for an informal Tweetup Networking event on Thursday 2nd February in Brussels.

This tweetup event is a follow-up event to last year’s TransparencyCamp Europe App Competition and Diplohack Brussels, both organised by the Dutch EU Presidency. With the TransparencyCamp App Competition we called on developers and data crunchers to create, develop and submit web applications, mobile apps or online tools that utilise public sector information and open data to benefit people.

The project started many conversations between data publishers and re-users, and between government and civil society on open data. The Dutch ministry of foreign affairs, Open State Foundation, Open Knowledge Belgium and our EU partners are keen to carry on this conversation, so please join us for a drink!

Informal event which is open to everyone

The idea is simply that people who follow each other on Twitter meet up for a drink. So, if you follow the TCampEU account, or that of Open Knowledge Belgium, The Dutch PermRep, Diplohack, Open State Foundation, or you just want to stick your head in the door and see what all this open data stuff is about, then this tweet up is for you! And bring a friend!

6:00 pm – Official kick-off by TCampEU organisers on TCampEU, Open Data, … The winners of the TCampEU app competition will be there to tell you all about their winning apps.

Everyone is welcome, simply register to let us know you’re coming. The first drink is on us!

Looking forward to seeing you on 2 February.
